To launch with Teligant

Healthcare remains one of the most fragmented, inaccessible industries — despite decades of digital transformation everywhere else. This complexity doesn't just hurt entrepreneurs. It hurts patients who can't access care and providers who can't reach the people who need them.

The gap between healthcare's promise and its accessibility has never been wider.

Everyone who has a better idea for delivering health and wellness gets blocked by technical barriers, regulatory complexity, and prohibitive costs. Most innovators never make it past the starting line.

We've seen what happens when infrastructure removes barriers instead of creating them. Shopify enabled a generation of independent business owners. AWS let startups compete with tech giants. Stripe made payments accessible to any developer with an API key.

Healthcare deserves the same.

Our mission is simple: remove the technical barriers that prevent healthcare innovation, so the best ideas can reach patients faster. A clinician with an idea should be able to reach patients this week, not next year.

This is our life's work

After leading digital transformation at Starbucks, MGM Resorts, and AG1, Kelly Smith turned his attention to a problem he kept seeing across healthcare: the infrastructure itself was the bottleneck. He founded Curious Office in 2007 as a venture lab for building digital products — with exits to Amazon, Google, Priceline, and Comcast. Teligant is the result of software professionals applying two decades of platform experience to a software problem that costs telehealth operators millions or stops them from launching altogether.

Hedfirst — our direct-to-consumer prescription wellness brand — runs on Teligant. We feel every friction point our partners feel because we experience them too.

Our vision

We're working toward a healthcare system where AI amplifies clinicians, telehealth is the default entry point, and innovation comes from everywhere — not just well-funded institutions.

Independent clinicians launch innovative care models. Specialized providers serve niche populations profitably. The next breakthrough comes from a med spa aesthetician, a personal trainer, or a pharmacist. Technology levels the playing field between independent practices and large health systems.

What we believe

Technology should expand access. AI's greatest impact is in health. Infrastructure should be invisible. Compliance is the foundation, not an afterthought.

Patients should think about their care, not the technology. Providers should think about their patients, not their software. We're building infrastructure our partners will rely on for years. That requires trust, stability, and commitment.

Why now

Healthcare is at an inflection point. Patient expectations have shifted, AI has crossed a threshold, regulatory winds are changing, and the old model is breaking under its own weight.

The pandemic proved telehealth works. Patients now expect the same convenience from healthcare that they get from every other service. States are expanding telehealth parity. Licensing is becoming more portable. The window for transformation is open. We intend to move through it.

Our ecosystem

Teligant is the B2B infrastructure platform — the “Shopify” for telehealth. Zaya is a turnkey solution for wellness clinics, built on Teligant. Hedfirst is our direct-to-consumer brand, proving the platform in production.

This matters because Teligant isn't theoretical. It's battle-tested infrastructure powering real patient care today. We eat our own dog food — and that makes everything we build better.
